Benefiting from over 100 years of Komatsu quarry and mining knowhow, the new GD955-7R motor grader delivers high safety levels and productivity, unrivalled Komatsu durability, and first-class operator comfort.
Weighing in at more than 47 tonnes, this mining heavyweight boasts a new high power Komatsu engine, a choice of 18-foot or 20-foot mouldboards, and new cabin ergonomics for an effortless intuitive driving experience. Komatsu designed, developed, and manufactured frames, transmission, and axles are ultra-heavy duty; to offer you maximum uptime in even the most extreme applications.

This powerful new machine stands out with its ample horsepower and powerful blade downforce pressure for efficient grading performance. With faster working travel speeds compared to the previous model, Komatsu engineered the GD955-7R to increase grading efficiency while helping reduce maintenance requirements and total cost of ownership.
Despite its large size, the GD955-7R offers excellent manoeuvrability. It can easily execute tight U-turns without the need to fully cut the wheel or course correct. The long wheelbase and large, 27-degree articulation angle allow a tight turning radius and provide manoeuvrability for narrow haul road applications in confined spaces and around obstacles.
The newly adopted, long-life circle bearing allows for smooth and precise rotation of the mouldboard while eliminating the need for circle play adjustments or replacing wear plates. Coupled with a standard auto-lubrication system, the GD955-7R is engineered to help reduce planned and unplanned maintenance downtime while helping to extend life to overhaul.
Safety is Komatsu’s number 1 priority. That’s why the GD955-7R is equipped with the KomVision surround view visibility system, external emergency shutdown switches, and an operator presence detection system – all as standard.
What’s more, complete asset management comes as part of the standard package through Komtrax PLUS version 2 with wireless LAN (vehicle health monitoring system).
